Inside the Icon: A Journey Through the Guggenheim Museum

Discover the story behind one of the world's most recognizable museums. More than a modern art landmark, the museum is a 20th-century architectural masterpiece. Explore the museum’s world-class collection and dive into the fascinating history of the Guggenheim family, whose vision and generosity helped shape the art world as we know it. Continuing the library's series of exploring museums, come join us in  another fascinating program presented in-person by Marisa Horowitz-Jaffe, educator & founder of “Museums with Marisa.”

Among Marisa's accomplishments and awards: she received the Travelers' Choice Award for 2025. She has been teaching, studying, and living art history for over 25 years. She received double degrees from The University of Michigan in Egyptology & Roman Archaeology, with an Art History minor; followed by Harvard University with graduate degrees in Art & Museum Education. She spent two decades working in elite NYC art museums, and now enjoys taking guests around The Met- her home away from home! Marisa's presentations have been described as "engaging, lively and dynamic." Don't miss it!

Please register below.  Registration does not guarantee a parking spot. The library encourages carpooling as much as possible.
